Background
The March of Dimes and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. began collaboratively implementing Project Alpha in 1980. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. chapters all across the country have worked with their local March of Dimes to implement Project Alpha programs. This program reaches more than 25,000 young men every year.
In addition to Project Alpha, March for Babies® serves as an example of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - March of Dimes partnership. In the last 5 years, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brothers have raised over $1 million for the March of Dimes.
Omicron Sigma Lambda Chapter stands with March of Dimes to fight for the health of all moms and babies. Families in our community and across the country are touched by the fundraising we do, and we won’t stop until we reach our goal of building a better future for us all. We’re proud to help provide resources and programs to educate and empower moms so every baby can have the best possible start. But we need you on our team. Together we can encourage more friends, family and supporters to join us to raise critical funds to tackle the biggest health threats facing moms and babies.
There are three ways in which you can support Omicron Sigma Lambda's March for Babies campaign.
Join the Team
Brothers Cedric Dukes & Mario LaGrone are co-team captains. We're looking for Brothers and supporters to participate in the 3 mile walk on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the First Horizon Park,19 Jr Gilliam Wy, Nashville, TN 37219. The walk begins at 10:00 AM (registration opens at 8:00 AM).
By getting your family and friends to sponsor your walk (e.g., $20 per mile), you can help raise money to ensure healthy mothers and babies.
The team goal is to raise $5,000 this year. It's easy to join the team. Go to the OSL March for Babies Page and select the "Join this Team" button.
Donate to a Team Member
Maybe you cannot participate on the walk and still want to support the cause. You can donate to one of the members of the team. Go to the OSL March for Babies Page and scroll down until you see the team member whom you want to financially support.
An easy way to pick an amount to donate is to give something for each mile of the 3 mile walk that the team member completes (e.g., $20 per mile).
Select the "Donate" button next to the name of the team member to whom you are donating.
